User Profile

I'm a graphic design monkey (This means that I among the temperamental creative masses to whom corporate America pays an excruciatingly low salary to create artwork. For this meager restitution, I use my God-given abilities and years of accumulated design knowledge to design a variety of things, from logos to brochures to magazine ads.) Just recently I've accepted a new position as Production Coordinator (yes, yes, I know, WTF indeed) which means that am adding HTML, CSS, etc. to my current design skills, thus becoming a Web Designer. I'm also an illustrator, an idea man, a creative consultant, a concept artist and a writer. I do freelance work any time I can get it. I love to sit down and create things that make people take notice. But I love it even more when I look back a year later and realize it really was a good design, or a good drawing, or a good story. My writing is mostly fantasy (as are my illustrations) or horror.

I'm a kid at heart and a dad by God's grace. I have 2 awesome kids (a Jedi Master Killer and a Princess). I'm a nerd, a geek, a weirdo and a freak. I'm a chivalric knight 600 years too late, and a pirate 300 years too late. I'm an experienced lead singer and a fledgling guitarist. I am an American ethnic mutt with a Gaelic surname. I'm a citified, gentlemanly/boorish Southern man with an accent no one can place. I am a warrior of light/monk/bohemian. I'm a dark (dork) knight/jerk/lovable regular guy on a mission to find my frickin' grail (hopefully with frickin' laser beams).

I'm no Prince Charming. I do not have a white horse. If I did have a horse, he'd likely be a black Clydesdale with sharpelly teeth. And to be honest, my "armor" is so worn from life that I'm really more of a dulled out black knight with no heraldry to speak of. As it is, I drive an old burgundy Jeep Grand Cherokee, wear black leather wristbands and black shirts, jeans, chain wallets and leather jackets. Inside I remain a "nice guy."

I'm a road-weary romantic. Maybe that still qualifies me as a "knight in shining armor". I may be a teddy bear, but I am no one's pet anything. I am both charmingly quiet and alarmingly loud. I am both egotistical and humble. I can be selfless and selfish. I choose to walk a dark path b/c it makes the coming of light all the brighter. I do not think outside the box; I simply ignore it. I am genuinely and completely me; a unique creature.
